I have a new V360 on T-Mobile with the T-Zones (Web & Email $6) service.
The V360 is EDGE capable.  Should I expect to see some indication of
having that service on the phone?  I can see the 'packet' icon coming
and going while in browser, but is there something else to show EDGE?
Or do I need a full data plan for that?

EDGE is a type of GPRS. There is no indication, other than the speed.

There is a SEEM edit to activate the EDGE icon if your phone is so
equipped.
