I'm thinking of getting a T-Mobile SDA because of it's WiFi capabilities
but I don't want to subscribe to their "Total Internet" plan.

Does T-Mobile lock their SDA to prevent it from connecting to 802.11b or
802.11g networks if I'm not signed up for their data plan? If so, is it
possible to unlock the SDA to allow me to browse and email from  802.11b
and 802.11g networks without paying for "Total Internet Access"

Best Regards,

Marcel

Nope, doesnt cost a dime to use WiFi. A very good source for MDA/ SDA
questions and answers is to go to www.howardforums.com and then TMOBILE and
then the SDA / MDA Subforum. Have fun
