Please someone give me some advice to move me away from my current 3g
tarriff. I'm currently on the 3g tarriff where you get 750 free minutes a
month and i regulary use 750 but never more then 900 minutes. I send about
30 texts a month. My bill ranges from around £40 to £60.
I'm not really bothered about video calls etc. The coverage is rubbish in my
house with 3 and i'm regulary cut off but all the other networks just dont
offer as good deals with their bundled minutes.
Can anyone think of a decent deal and point me towards it?
cheers rob

If you connect to Orange Talk Time 400 (£50/month) at the mo, it'll be
doubled for the first 6 months.  After that, you could pop on to Orange's
equivalent of O2 Max, giving 1000 xnet mins and 50 sms for £75?

Not quite as good value as Three, but not that far off - with the benefit of
being on a network with excellent coverage.

Orange YP400 has free 0800 you can use with a calling card to make
all your landline calls at 1 to 2p per min anytime.
Saving all inc mins for use calling mobiles.

OVP O2 Max doesn't have free 0800

But has anyone any spare access numbers for those two numbered CCs?
I'm amazed Orange haven't blocked / charged for their published numbers by now

If they did, there would be an automatic way around it, which would add
about 10-15 secs to the connection time admittedly, but still easy on CC
compatible phones, such as those from SonyEricsson.

Yep, can still route any Orange blocked 0800 number free through Quip CC,
but it's inconvenient.

I string the Orange blocked, current Onetel access number line, with Quip ;-)

Do you call mainly landlines, mainly mobiles, and at which times of day?
Some of teh off-peak tariffs may be good if you make most of your calls
during the evenings?
