It's great and almost has a retro look about it - my children love
them (three of them have 600's).

I think it depends on whether or not you're an old hand at the palm-pilot
operating system.
As a telephone, it was not too big to hold and the Blazer wap/web browser
and e-mail clients suppplied were OK.
My bugbear, and the main reason why I disliked it, was the fact that you
can't use the Graffiti interface (stylus input) only the very small qwerty
keyboard. However, if you are not a palm/pda user, you would not 'miss' this
feature.

You can if you use the add-on software "Graffiti anywhere". Not sure
of the cost of it but it isn't high.

I think it's great. I stopped using my PDA once I had this. My only
complaints with it are:
1) I was used to a higher res display on my previous PDA and miss it
2) The camera isn't especially good

Other than that, fantastic gadget. Brilliant for on the road Googles
and keeping yourself organised. For a bit of add on software (and a
headphone adapter) it turns into a good MP3 player and to expand the
memory all you need to do is buy SD or MMC cards. Plus of course all
the usual PDA stuff including games and ebooks and alarms etc. I'd
thoroughly recommend them. Oh, many bemoan the lack of bluetooth but
it's never bothered me.

Probably the best gadget ever for its price, except for TiVo of course.

Being able to run a 100,000 different applications helps somewhat :)

As an mp3 player its pretty good, as a laptop replacement its not bad, and
as a one-handed use mobile comms device its in a class of its own, with no
competitor
within 2 years. I almost never need the stylus.
