Sold an orange phone with its matching SIM on ebay which is registered
to my name and address. Tried ringing 0500 802080, gone through the
options to change the address on your account, but it keeps telling me
"sorry we can't continue this call any further". How do I get through
to them to change the registered keeper?
Since it's PAYG I was wondering whether I should be bothering, but then
they may start making abusive calls and so I will be held responsible
Alternatively is their still a 10p fixed fee call I can make from the
phone to do the business?

Thanks. I've decided I'm gonna keep the phone for now, use the credit
up, and put the phone on again in the near future

Only sold insofar as I had a winning bidder

IANAL but I believe that if the auction has successfully completed then
both buyer and seller have entered into a legally binding contract..?

Buyer wrote me a snotty letter and her last sentence was for me to give
her a refund back if I want to - there is an option where buyer and
seller can mutually agree to not proceed
And nothing's legally binding - otherwise we wouldn't have to file non
paying bidder alerts

It is legally binding.
Whether it's worth attempting to get your money back through the legal
system in most cases is an utterly different matter.

"Thank you for calling Orange. I'm sorry, but we are unable to continue
processing this call any further. Thank you. Good bye."
That the error? If so, try again tomorrow.
