Anyone else having problems with Orange email this morning..? Can't log in
either using POP3 or website. Former gives a "server does not respond"
error, the latter takes ages to accept the password then says I don't have
permission to access the page..!

Same here
However, my business mail is routed to both to my original Orange
account and to 3mail. Whatever we may say about 3 - at least I can pick
up important emails on the move.

Same here. This is not the first time this has happened.
You would think with something as complex as a mobile phone network to
look after they could keep a pop3 server up.

Just rang 439 (50p a minute) to be told it will be up and running 'later
tonight'. To be fair (!) I didn't have to explain my problem they told me so
was only on for about 20 seconds!!

Glad somebody found out, I wasn't going to ring a 50p/min line for
anything..! Don't suppose they said what the problem is..? It's extremely
annoying as I've just concluded an ebay transaction last night and I can't
contact the other party to arrange payment.

Yes seems to be, although no text alerts as yet. Think they may have lost
a few messages as well, or maybe there's still a backlog, although a test
I sent just now came through quickly.

Which sends an email, and if it's not working in the reverse direction, I
don't know if they got it..!
BTW could you post at the bottom please, thanks.

was told, 9am live, then 12, then 2pm, then 4pm, now later evening.
Altho uses the orange name, orange.net is only connected to Orange by name.
O.net is another separate company, and its not related to freeserve/wanadoo
other that special arrangements for dial-up.

It's run by that 12 year old kid that used to feature in the Orange
campaign, and his mum pulled the plug out of the bedroom PC that runs
Orange.net to do the vacuuming while he was at school.

Same here now, although I think a few may be missing. Are you getting SMS
alerts..? None here so far.

It's been down all day and is showing on the intranet. Normally it
doesn't make it that far so it must be a fairly spectacular failure.
Just checked again and it's disappeared form the intranet so should be
fixed.

Seems to be ok, although there's a bit of a backlog, just had a message
sent 1317 yesterday..! No SMS alerts though.

They've obviously been playing again!
Tried to log in this morning, asked me to confirm my mob no, then sent me an
activation code as if I'd signed up for the first time. Logged back in again
and the site would either hang, or I'd get an error 404!!
Arrrrggggghhhhhh! Another reason to be Orange?? I think not!

Managed to get in first thing today, but it's still a little dodgy!!
As I work in IT I won't bother data support - they've probably had enough of
that over the last few days!

Anyone simply not receiving emails they've sent to @orange.net addresses?

Eh..? Don't understand that one..! Why would someone receive an email

That's the point. Not used my @orange.net addy for a while, so I sent some
emails to myself to check it was working.
Seems that something is amiss. They took ages to arrive whereas emails sent
to my Wanadoo address arrived almost instantly.
In other words, don't rely on your Orange email for anything too time
sensitive.

It's working fine now. I only use Orange email because of the text alerts.
