Alternative to a smartphone (I'd settle for a good organizer)

I am considering changing my samsung sgh-a800 because I need a mobile
with a good organizer, and which can be synchronized to the pc.
I live in Italy, and here I can find the Motorolpa mpx200 for 160 euros
(112 British Pounds). What alternatives could you suggest?

The most important thing for me is having a good organizer with pim
functions and pc connection. I don't need bluetooth nor camera. All the
extra features that usually come with smartphones would be cool, but
absolutely not necessary to me. The phone should be small, possibly not
much bigger than my current samsung sgh-a800. As for the budget, I am
considering speding the equivalent of 110 to 160 pounds.

But it's bigger than the Motorola mpx200. I keep my mobile in the front
pocket of my jeans, so I'd like it to be as small as possible. I think
that, in this respect, clamshell cell phones, such as the mpx200 or the
samsunsg sgh-a800 I have now, are the best because they can be pretty
small but at the same time have a big keyboard and a big display,
because opening them it's as if the space doubled.

Actually, thinking of it, the only alternative that comes to my mind (in
that price range) is the sony ericsson z600. Same size, same prize, same
clamshell design. What do you think of this phone? It has bluetooth and
camera, which the mpx200 do not have, but I don't need them so don't
really care. Maybe the z600 battery life is better, but I wouldn't be so
sure. I downloaded the manual and got the impression that the mpx
software has more features.
