I downloaded some DM (protected) files to my 3 LG 8120, How do I back them
up, I cant send them and I cant download them to my PC.  Does any one know
how to back these up?

The wonders of DRM. I suspect that you cannot, after all if they let you
you'd be able to give them to the other 6 billion occupants of the planet.

It may be that they are not DRM'd in the sense that they will not work
on another device, merely that they are marked as restricted and hence
cannot be transferred in any way.

If anyone else knows differently please tell us, but the mobile
operators have done a deal with the content providers to prevent
'misuse' as the latter see it.

I would have thought that DRM technology includes the ability to re-download
with some sort of validation for the kind of circumstances that would have
traditionally been dealt with by backing-up. I would also expect that a full
featured DRM would also include an escrow guarantee and a perpetual right to
download. But then again the business of "licensing" (or leasing) has
muddied the clear and simple waters of property ownership.

I suspect a diabolical conspiracy.
