I have a contract Vodafone account, and an Orange one. My daughter will
turn 18 in July. She uses my Orange contract. I would like to port that
number to Vodafone as she wants to go to Vodafone.
Vodafone state only one account number per person. So if I were to port the
number from Orange to Vodafone, it would apppear on my account. Need to
keep separate billing/DD's etc, for business reasons.
When she turns 18 I would want to hive off 'her' now Vodafone number to an
account in her own name with Vodafone.
Sales staff say although this is technically possible it would be
complicated and messy.
Should I therefore just keep her on Orange ?

Get her to start her own contract in July using the PAC obtained
approximately 3 weeks earlier from Orange.

Can't she just wait 3 months? It would indeed be messy - transferring
an account involves writing to both parties and possibly your daughter
having to fax in some proofs of ID etc. Plenty of scope for things to go
wrong.

Thanks for the advice guys which I will folllow.
So I ask for the PAC code from Orange that will be in my name.
As soon as she has turned 18, how can she start a new contract on 'my' PAC
code. Surely only I can do this ??

No, simply give her the PAC.
