Have had a SE T610 for a while and am thinking of getting either K300i or 700i. The only problem with the T610 is that it is difficult to see the screen when outside. Is this still a problem? I'd say it is perhaps even more of a problem with the K700i. I loved the screen on T610, I think it is the brightest and clearest of the SE range (except in the sun) - K700i seems more difficult to see in my view. Yes, this is a drawback of the T610, which is a shame, as I've been very happy since I first got one a couple of years ago, and am in no rush to upgrade to a different model (though I picked up 2 extra T610s as part of the yearly contract renewal.) I would have loved to get a T630 instead, but they just don't seem available as an Orange upgrade, and I don't believe Orange ever issued them, did they? I've found the K700i to have a better screen outdoors than the T610 when I tried one, but it doesn't have the calling card feature, which at the moment is the one feature that I use the most on my phone- I would miss it awfully. The manufacturers are starting to address this issue though; some new phones such as the Nokia 6630/80 have a light sensor which controls the backlight/brightness depending on surroundings. My 6630 is relatively easy to see during the recent good weather we've had - very impressed!! Plus, as the backlight is the 2nd highest contributor to crap battery life, it's a good idea to have it turn off/switch to low power when daylight is sufficient.
