Finally got a Nokia 6680 on Orange... I used it for the first time
yesterday, and every now and again, the 3G connection would disappear,
and would never come back. It wouldn't even connect to any sites, at
least not without a reboot.
Also, I managed to get the Gallery corrupted. Had to reformat the memory
card. It's a bit of a pisser.
It's also annoying when you realise Nokia have changed the storage
format in the memory... like under the 7610, 3650 etc, you would have
folders of images, and that would be represented on the phone. Doesn't
matter how many folders worth of information you copy onto the memory
card, it lists all pictures in all folders, into the same list in the
gallery.
You therefore have no choice other than to do all your organising on the
phone. Any organising on your computer is in effect, lost. Very frustrating.
Any tips guys?
I also just phoned up O2 to get my PAC Code, they begged me to stay, I
begged them to stay too... but they don't have the 6680 yet, should I
stay with O2 or go to Orange? Anything apart from the phone, and the
tariff etc?
Cheers
Simon

Down to you in the end.
I also was debatigng o2 vs orange.
Although orange has less signal where i live (i can still make calls,
receive calls etc..) i decided on orange.
Mainly for the Orange World, o2's active is poor.
I had some trouble when i got my 6680 on orange too, but after a few days, i
became more relaxed with it (as you do with any new phone) and i love it
now.
You just have to know is strengths and weaknesses.
Not many weaknesses tho!!

Im just slightly peeved in the structure and lack of organisation for
Gallery, no longer can you have sub-folders, unless you know some trick?
And also, it starts to get very slow after more than a few pics are put
in there.
And I've just been trying this OrangeTV, looks quite impressive so far,
but the application is a pos. It keeps taking you to the Web page to
"subscribe", even though you're already subscribed. A quick stab at the
Channels button seems to do the trick to get out of the loop. I got some
video feed on ITN, but I guess they're not broadasting yet because it's
only promotional at the moment. Other channels, I only got sound on.
Whether this is some strange streaming problem, or a problem with the
software I know not.
But it is a great little phone. I'll be very happy. Im considering going
with Line 2 (if it's affordable, and applicable), and port another
personal number in. If there was a Line 3, I could have a works number too!
