Hi,

I am looking for a new phone, one with bluetooth that will synchronise
with outlook. Small would be nice.

The Motorola V3 looks like it will do the trick, but I wondered if there
was anything less "mainstream" that I might also consider.

All the website phone comparison engines that I have found don't allow
selection on synchronisation with outlook (apart from the carphone
warehouse).

Can anyone make any useful suggestions?

Orange SPV range (C550 i think latest with the C600 out soon). Great phones
based on windows mobile operating system. Syncs with outlook and loads of
software available for it.

Any Nokia that is supported by the Nokia Datasuite will sync with Outlook.

What you don't say though is which bits of outlook you want to sync.

Calender?
eMail?

Well, I'm struggling to think of any BT-enabled phones that won't do
that.

My 3.5 year old Sony Ericsson T68i will synch with Outlook using the
Widcomm software supplied with my Bluetooth card and also with free
software downloadable from the Sony Ericsson website. I would be
pretty sure that any Sony Ericsson phone with Bluetooth released since
2002 will be equally capable.

My girlfriend has a V3. The supplied software did not allow synch with
Outlook and she had to download software from
http://www.bvrp.com/eng/products/mobilephonetools/ at extra cost.

I imagine any of the smartphones based on Windows Mobile software will
easily synch with Outlook, such as the whole Orange SPV range, the O2
XDA range and the T-Mobile MDA/SDA ranges and the Qtek/i-Mate
equivalent models.

As did ? years old Siemens S55 before I lost it. (Of course, the
Bluetooth was a bit flaky).

Typical Motorola as far as I can see, lovely phones but they always
manage to cock things up somehow.
