Finally ordered a new phone and after all my moaning about the size of
the keypad, and my artwork to modify it, I still went and got the best
phone currently on the market. The Nokia N70.

I am definitely going to get a couple of those screen protectors for
it though, and maybe a leather case too, or one of those white or blue
silicone ones.

I'm not too sure what accessories come with the N70 as standard, will
have to wait till 3 Jan when it arrives to find out.  If it doesn't
have a lot of memory with it though I will probably spend an extra £55
or so on a 1GB memory card for all those photo and video clips etc.

I went with Vodafone and am waiting for my current number to be ported
in from T-Mobile.

Phoned Voda just before 8pm to buy the phone. I'm going with the
Anytime 125 contract. Phone was £70.  Customer service is excellent.
No annoying messages or button pressing and listening to a robot.
Human straight away.  I had called them earlier in the day as well
asking a lot of questions about this and that. Brilliant service.

It's also great how you can use up your allowance of texts for other
things as well like web browsing and picture and video calling. And
the fact you get Sky TV free until the end of Jan, super!

A small part of me still feels like I have signed a pact with the
devil. Vodafone are after all sponsors of a football team I don't like
too much, and knowing that the sponsorship money is going to them
makes me feel just a little bit sick, but hey, 99% of me says that
this is the number one network with the best CS. I guess loosing my
typical stubborn mentality for just a second to make the right choice
is a small price to pay.

Wrong Vodafone have cut their sponsorship deal short with Manure. It stops
at the end of this season.

Who do you support BTW if you don't like Manure?

That's great news. I won't feel as bad giving them my money now ;)

your ill feelings towards Manure hehe.

Dont worry too much - they are not renewing the contract so all of us
blues can start considering Vodafone again.

Now if only they would move out of Trafford, then we could move to Old
Trafford, where the Council Tax is lower <g>

I've only ever had one mobile phone and one network in my life.
Samsung V200 and T-Mobile. I was late joining the mobile revolution,
so this is still only going to be my second phone and it is a big
improvement on the Samsung that I've had since April 2003.

Yep, I can't wait to get it, and I am glad I'm going to be with a
decent network now.
