Nokia 6230i Mp3 through car kit?

I have just replaced my 6310i with a 6230i.  I have a Cark 91 car kit
and I'm now using an adapter that fits in the cradle allowing me to
connect the 6230i to the existing car kit.

It works fine for charging and calls but I was hoping I could play Mp3
files from the 'phone over the cars speakers.

When I play a track using the "music player" it plays on the phone
rather than through the car speakers.

Is there a setting for this, or is it a problem with the 6230i and CARK
91?

Works fine for me BUT (BIG But!).. I have the proper Nokia Car kit for the
6230i, and it plays the audio, including MP3's through the car speakers.

Can't comment on whether yours (Cark91) should or not, I'm afraid.

Thanks for the reply, at least I know that it *should* work and that
prime suspect is the existing car kit...

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get your adaptor kit?
I've got a a Nokia car kit fitted to my vehicle for my 6310i. My wife has a
6610i and would like to be able to use her phone in my car.
How do I find what cradle adaptor would I need?
Thanks for any info or leads.

I have no connection with the sellers. I spotted these while looking to buy an mp3 player and bookmarked for the future.
