Looking for a decent smartphone on Orange

Hi folks,
I've had my Treo 650 for about a year now, so am starting look around
for an upgrade. I want something with a qwerty keyboard, html internet
browsing and smartphone capabilities - basically something up to the
standard of the Treo. Not fussed about camera, but WiFi could be handy.
I had thought the Nokia 9310i, but it looks like it's some way off
being offered by Orange.

So, any other suggestions?
Thanks
Nick

Personally, I don't think there is anything currently available that
beats the Treo 650.

The forthcoming Nokia E70
(http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,82891,00.html) may suit your needs, it
is complete with WiFi.

Or the E61 (http://www.europe.nokia.com/nokia/0,,81718,00.html) - no
camera though.

It might be a good idea to look in another direction from Orange - they
are going down the hill massively and are about to hike their prices.

Try the SPV M3000 which orange (adhering to their crap service) have
declined to bring to the UK.  It should be available on T-Mobile with
unlimited data if the rumoura are true from next month for prices in
the low thirties with a good call/text bundle too. (As the MDA vario).

It has what you are asking - and the 11 meg Wifi can be upped to 54.

In the course of researching some smartphones, I saw the M3000 (XDA
mini, MDA vario). I'll google it, but do you know what the chances are
of unlocking one of these?

Thanks

Dead easy and free to do.
