I've gone for one of the 12 month cash back offers with
onestopphoneshop and thought I'd better try and understand the process
before the date arrives that I need to claim :)
I'm on Orange off peak 1000 which is £20 per month. On the 'your
offer explained' sheet it says the free gifts to follow are £58 month
4, £58 month 8 and £5 month 12. It also says there will be an auto
chequeback of £66 within 90 days. This of course comes to £187 which
is £53 less than a years line rental.
I'd be glad if someone could clear this up - I've probably missed
something :)
Thanks,
Joanne

Looks like a misprint to me?
If you get £58 cashback on months 4, 8 & 12 (not £5 on month 12), then
don't the figures work out okay?

That means it's secondhand.

Yeah I know - it didn't bother me as I get 12 months free instead of 6
months for 99p. I just thought they might have wiped the memory card
(although I'm not sure they knew it was there as they also included a
second card)

Hi Joanne,
As someone has already pointed out, the final cashback should be £58 and
your paperwork contains a typo. If the same error is replicated on any
vouchers that you have received I would make a point of demanding that
they reissue the offending voucher ASAP as it will be nigh on impossible
to prove that this was a typo 12 months down the line when they actually
do send you through a £5 cheque instead of a £58 one.
What's more, as you only have 14 days to alert OSPS to any missing
vouchers I would wager that they will apply the same principle to
vouchers with wrong amounts on them so you'd better get your skates on.

Thanks.
the vouchers aren't actually completed so i guess I'll just give them a
call to confirm the ammounts are correct.
