I received a WAP push message today (August 4th) which came from
http://www.imob.tv and cost me over 2pounds.
I'm going to complain to O2, but in the meantime can anyone tell me how to
avoid getting these messages and get my credit back?

Thanks in advance.

Switch off WAP Push

Dont complain to O2, its your own fault you received this message, yo
obviously put your mobile down as a contact number on some form and no
you are receiving marketing. it's the same with premium rate texts, yo
signed up for some rubbish wallpaper or dating texts and didnt chec
out the terms and conditions on the site. o2  or any other network d
not get a cut from it, infact the way it works is they are billed firs
for the service and then in turn take the credit from you.
think first before you sign up for any text competitions or televisio
polls, as they all use service providers

I am the GO

O2 will tell you to turn off GPRS advertising on your phone they will give
you are £2 back but will say they won't do it again, you can ask for the
company that sent the message and they must supply you with this information
so you can call them to have your number removed. It is all too easy makes
you wonder if they don't get a cut themselves just to stay on the legal side
of things.
