Hello All

Currently on Orange contract and have bene for 9 years, cant wait to get rid
of them , I moved house 3 years ago, the signal is crap, Orange promised a
transmitter upgrade 2 years ago, still not happened, 4 masts cover my town,
2 of them 3g and the signal is still crap, I log on to a different mast
depending on what position I am in the house.

Anyway what I need to know is, If I port my number to O2 PAYG for a few
months as I dont wish to take out another contract until after Christmas,
Can I port this number onto a O2 Monthly contract with one of their online
tarriffs?

Any advice appreciated..

I did Email O2 but i dont think they understood what I wanted to know!

I'm not surprised. Moving from one service to another within the same
network is migration, not porting. You migrate from O2 PAYG to O2
contract, not port.

I don't know if O2 support this but I'd be very surprised if they didn't.

They do support it - however I'm not sure of the gist of it with one of
those 1 month contract SIMS; I imagine it's the same process though.

Well they do but expect a lot of grief, like being told you can't keep your
number, credit on the SIM will be lost, gap in service, etc. etc.

I've ported from O2 Contract to O2 PAYG then back to O2 Contract and then
back to O2 PAYG again, not had any problems with any of them.
