Just about to come to the end of a cashback contract on 3 so phoned
them up to see what deal they could offer. Basically wanted them to
match the 18 month half price line rental on the 3 website with the
£100 cashback from quidco. To cut a long story short - they were not
even prepared to match the 18 months half price. However they did
offer me 100 mins and 100 texts for 12 months for the total price of
£5. I took this since I'll get a new contract for the 18 months half
price and can use this SIM in another phone (we have 3 phones in the
family). The current 3g phone is a 2 year old nokia 7600 which is
reaching the end of its (very hard) life and I don't think it will
last a lot longer. Also the wife's phone is slowly dying and she can
have mine if I get a 3g one (she is still on OVP-virgin!)
So I am looking for a "3" phone to make calls and receive texts. It
will spend its whole life on silent so decent vibration alert is
required and decent battery life would be nice. I make about 10 calls
a month.
I am willing to use ebay.
Current favourite is the motorola c975 on three PAYG for £20 (although
£5 back from quidco) although I hear the battery life is 1 day it's a
bit of a brick and that they now glue the sim into this phone (can you
get them out??).
Any alternatives?? All suggestions appreciated. TIA.

.
I have a brand new Motorola Razr 3VxR
Happy to let it go for about £110?
New and unused and not stolen or anything. Have upgraded but am too used to
my current to change over.

It is a brick, and you can't get it out without a good chance of ruining
the phone. It's some kind of epoxy resin.
