Friend has a N70, they don't like it so they have lent it to me. It is
unlocked but has O2 firmware.

I have put my 2G O2 contract SIM. I can not send SMS or receive MMS. I
don't think it sends MMS either.

Yet when I put in my Easymobile SIM in I can send SMS.

Any clues about these phones and settings that might help me work this
problem out ?

Thanks

Also is there a firmware update on the Nokia site that might help ?

Your O2 SIM - is it from an MMS capable phone? Have you sent/received
MMS using that SIM before? If yes then the phone is not configured
correctly. If no then you will need to call O2 to get it enabled on your
SIM.

A firmware update won't hurt of course, but it won't solve your problem.

Yer it's my long term contract SIM.

Funny enough it did cure the problem.
