can a Sony Ericsson K750i keypad be locked by a code so even when switched
on no-one can use it?

Unfortunately not

You can add call barring etc ... but not the same

Haven't seen tht since an old panasonic I had  good feature

Nokia series 60 phones do this.Very handy. Just press 'on' 'Lock Keypad'
then enter the code. You can still receive calls / texts. But to do anything
else, you need to enter the 5 digit code again. Not really sure how secure
this is, but I've taken the battery out, refitted, and it still asked for
the code! Handy to just quickly lock your phone, and not have anyone looking
through your phone!

Yeah, that's how I remember it - just wish SE did it
