Does anybody know who is responsible for sorting out the network
contribution to a CPW cashback offer?
I purchased a K750i on Voda from the CPW website in June. The offer
was 10 months free on a 12 month Anytime 275 contract at £35 per
month.
The 10 months free breaks down as three cheque payments of £99.17 and
a £52.50 contribution from the network. This contribution is supposed
to be a credit on bills 1-6. I've received no such credit on my first
three bills.
CPW have pushed me from pillar to post on this, I've spoken to
countless different departments all of whom pass the buck onto the
next one.
They also advised me to speak to Vodafone who told me it's nothing to
do with them and to speak to CPW. I am inclined to believe that it is
up to CPW to inform them of any such credit/discount. I have the
printouts from their website detailing the cashback offer I'm entitled
to and a receipt stating 10 months free.
Does anybody know who is actually responsible for sorting this out? I
am due another callback from CPW today and if it is not resolved I'm
considering writing to their legal department to try and speed things
up a bit.
Is it definitely CPW who are liable for this as it is CPW who I
purchased it from?

Hi Tom
I suspect that you are meant to be on Vodafone 275 3MHP ie you should
get 3 credits of £17.50 in months 1,2 and 3.
CPW sold their customer base back to Voda, so your account is with Voda
direct.
I took out a fairly similar CPW offer to yours and had a £6 Extras
pack added to my first bill, which I had not requested.
I rang Voda and explained this, and they immediately removed it from
future bills.
However, to get the £6 refunded, I had to go to a Voda store and show
proof that the Extras pack was not included in my original contract.
Hence, I would recommend that you take your proof of your original
contract to a Voda store, and they should sort it out for you (you may
wish to phone Voda CS first).

Networks don't give cashback, retailers do.

CPW are in either case. If they connected you to the wrong tariff then
it's down to them and not Vodafone. Vodafone only connect you to what
CPW tell them to.
For cashback cheques you also need to hassle CPW, it's nothing to do
with Vodafone.
