The real cost of components that go in to a mobile are a few pounds.  What
you are seeing is recommended retail prices.  Prices are held high so as not
to devalue a brand name.  Like the lager advert that stated their product
was reassuringly expensive.  Do some research.  Phone shops make a lot of
money on selling you some phones when you consider they sell a £5 value
phone for £200 and claim it is subsidised.
