I know that mobileshop.com say that cashbacks will be paid around 60 days after
the expiry date of the voucher but what's the experience of you as to when they
do actually pay ?

I realise the longer they keep the money the more interest they get but there
is really no reason why they shouldn't pay out earlier . They got my voucher on
12th October .

The last cashbacks I had with another company ( phones4u maybe ) were paid
within days .

They received my second voucher on the 7th August, payment went into my
bank account on the 1st november, about 85 days. Not a problem to me, as
long as I get it then I'm happy.

I agree that so long as they do pay them it's ok but 85 days is a bit worrying .

Hmmm, 25 days late so they're in breach of their own t&c's.

I wonder what would happen if you were 25 days late sending in the
relevant cashback paperwork?

As someone else has pointed out, they're clearly struggling; I
understand they've now increased the number of cashback claims to 6 for
new contracts.

They seem to be walking a financial tightrope and the wind's starting
to get up..........

I thought  I saw on their website that cashbacks are now done online so you
don't have to send vouchers in but now I can't see it .
They have three different faq's for folk depending on when you ordered your
phone so something muct have changed

In my own case, they simply sent me a reference number that I must
write on each bill I send back - vouchers weren't issued.

Sadly, I don't think they'll be around to honour my cashback claims :-(

It's usually an ominous portent when a company starts wilfully breaking
their own terms and conditions............on another forum their
response to the delays was "BACS software problems" but that was a
couple of months ago.

Mobileshop in my opinion are reliable at paying and reliable at being slow
to pay.

I believe they send you a confirmation email or text to say that your claim
has been received - this gives peace of mind to yourself and stops you
hassling them.

I think that Mobileshop are struggling in the market though, so I no longer
use them, but that's my opinion.

I believe this as well. I currently have two cashback deals going with
them at present, about three quarters over on both.

The impression I get is that they have delayed the cash back period to
keep their heads above water. The deals on their web pages are not as
attractive as they were. Probably they were giving too much back
before.

Assuming my two deals complete OK I'll be happy despite the delay. I
will look elsewhere for the next one as I don't want to be burned.

Did you get the e-mail offering to give you something in return for giving up
your cashback payment .I can't remember what it was but I didn't want it and I
didn't think it was worth £105 . Some electronic goods if I remeber .

I did for one of the accounts but not the other. I wasn't interested
as I had already budgeted for the full cashback.

Fingers crossed.
