Hi guys,
It's been a while since I've been on here - I've been working like crazy
at developing my website back-end further while continuing to manually
edit the database contents. It's become a real juggling act.
For anyone that is interested, the wee man has started to walk only in
the last week or so, although his vocab is still limited to seemingly
random single-syllable sounds.
Anyway...I felt that it was about time that I made an appearance to let
everyone know that One Stop Phone Shop has changed their cashback
schedules as of 31 October.
The old schedule was as follows:
(1) a small automatic payment after 3 months (optional)
(2) remainder in THREE parts, claimable after 4, 8 and 12 months.
The new schedule is as follows...
12 month deals (low cashback value):
(1) a small automatic payment after 3 months (optional)
(2) remainder in THREE parts, claimable after 6, 9 & 12 months.
12 month deals (the vast majority of them):
(1) a small automatic payment after 3 months (optional)
(2) remainder in FOUR parts, claimable after 6, 8, 10 & 12 months.
18 month deals:
(1) a small automatic payment after 3 months (optional)
(2) remainder in FIVE parts, claimable after 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18 months.
It seems that every man and his dog is slowly increasing the number of
cashback payments to be claimed.
I have emailed someone inside E2Save to ask if they intend to follow
suit - I'll report back the results of that enquiry when I receive a
response.

Hi,
Thanks for the heads up on this - I assume that these new arrangements are
only applicable on contracts taken out post 31/10 previous arrangements
still as before?
Cheers - keep up the good work.
Sky.

Three years to teach them to walk and talk.
Then 18 years either:
a) wondering where they have wandered of to,
or, if not,
b) trying to get them to shut up.
Whatever you do, dont try to win.
All the best

Had an online chat with someone from Mobileshop.com today re my (late!)
cashback. He claimed that the networks have revised the way they pay the
dealers, i.e. they get the money later now. Cashback over a longer period
would seem to suggest that this is what is happening.

Just to follow up on my previous post, I have now heard back from E2Save
and they have confirmed that they too have shifted over to the new
cashback scheme. What's more...where they used to sometimes differ
slightly from OSPS in exactly how they divided up their cashback, it
looks like their schedules, for any given cashback amount, are now
identical.
I guess we should now look to Carphone Warehouse to see if they too
intend to harmonise their cashback admin with that of their sister
companies...

He's probably imitating ring-tones - listen hard and
let us know if you can tell which network he's on ;-)
