Hi all,
Just spent over an hour on hold trying to get through to an Orange tubby
with no luck so thought I'd see if anyone here could kindly help.
I have a new Nokia N73 on orange. I was told that it was all setup with the
correct centre numbers etc however I have 2 problems:
1) I cannot send text messages as there is no message centre stored. Does
anyone know the Orange message centre number (I have the 'unlimited' text
messages, don't know if that makes any difference).
2) The GPRS/WAP settings seem to have been setup correctly, however whenever
I try to connect I get a 'packet data connection' error. Any ideas as to
what is wrong?
Any help appreciated!
Cheers,
J

You can get configuration settings specifically for your mobile network
via text messages (apparently for free)
http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,8764,77073,00.html .

I've been having problems connecting to GRPS WAP since I got my new phone on
Orange last monday.
Phoned them up on Friday and logged a fault.
Seems to be a genreal problem with Orange A.T.M.
Hope this helps.

Thanks people, got SMS working but still no joy with GPRS. Annoying having
a 'smart' phone that can't do anything particularly 'smart'!

SOunds like you have not dealt with your SIM updates properly. Messages
> options > SIM messages and delete them. The power cycle and all will
be well.
