It was, I updated mine the beginning of last week. It doesn't show up on the
nokia.com site, you have to go in via europe etc. Anyway, it works.
I've also de-branded my N73, using b-phreaks NSS, and updated the firmware
again, which means I now have the latest generic firmware:
V3.0638.0.0.1, 30-10-2006, RM-133, Nokia N73(08)

Unfortunately the update software is broken. It gets as far as the
"Application Starting" screen, and then doesn't go any further. shame.

I would persevere with it - it does work. Mine worked 1st time, but I know
of a couple of friends who got the same as you, but it did work eventually.

Great. Thanks for this.
Saved me a visit to a Nokia Service Centre.

Just done my 6680. WELL chuffed!!!
Just one thing. Before I done this, I made a back up of my phone to my
memory card. After the process, I restored my settings from the memory card,
but it said 'Unable to restore one file' then my phone rebooted. And after
that, I was unable to open any menus. I reflashed the phone again, but
didn't restore anything from the memory card this time. It was Vodafone
branded. Do you think it was just a conflict when I tried to restore all the
settings? It just means I'm going to have to but *everything* back in my
phone, but it's worth it for brand free software :-)
Seems to be much quicker opening menus now, too!
