If it is your phone and I stress, the *IF*, you would have received a
user manual, which should contain the infomation you need.
If not, then you should phone your network provider, who should be
able to supply you with an unlock code, again provided that you are
the *true/legitimate* owner of that phone. You may (will) need to be
able to prove that you are the owner of that phone.
If it is a contract phone then, the you will be able to confirm the
details, as on file with the network.
If it is a PAYG, then I hope you have registered your details...

It is my phone but this code has nothing to do with the provider. It
is phone specific and requires a service center to reset the phone.
As it is, fortunately, I remembered the password after a nights sleep
:)
If anyone else gets this problem, I found that in the UK, service
centers will do this for you for a modest cost of ?10.00, providing
you can prove you are the owner.
Cheers,
Pep.
Check in the user manual, if you dont have one try this site out they
have a lot of good manuals and they are free
http://www.theusermanualsite.com/
more specifically try their cell phone link.

Hope this helps!
