Having been caught out by an onlne retailer that went bankrupt and my
current one (buymobilephones.net) that make you wait 3 months (which I
am sure wasnt the case when I signed up!

Which of the bunch is the quickest payer nowadays? 3 months extra
waiting seems to be taking the piss!

Generally dealers don't get their subsidy from the networks
until your contract is 6 months old.
So it's not in the dealers interest to take the risk of paying out any
cashbacks till then

Cheers Steve, though I wasnt referring to paying cashback upfront. I
was talking about the amount of time taken after sending in the bills.
A month isn't unreasonable - but 3 months is IMHO.

I got my first cashback from CPW on time. They sent me a text to say
that they had received he copy of my bill and then they paid up as
promised. Let's hope the other cashbacks follow with the same
efficiency.

Neither was he !

That's because the more they keep in their accounts, the more interest they
get.
Cashback is best avoided as it is a gamble as to whether the company will
still be in business.

And nor was I.

I know full well why they want to keep the money for as long as they
like. What I was asking was who makes you wait the least amount of
time after sending in each batch of bills. Buymobile phones are 3
months. I would reckon others are quicker.

In your opinion. Sure, it does and has happened. I was lucky with my
first company, that I had used 2 times previously, that my cheque had
been sent before they shut shop. My sister who bought at the same
time, wasnt so lucky. However, you are not going to tell me that
Carphone warehouse is a gamble for going bust? Sure they will (along
with all the others) avoid paying if you dont send your bills in on
time, but if you do so, with a company like them, it isnt much of a
gamble.

Anyway, gamble or not, what companies pay out quicker than 3 months
after sending in the bills? (ie each instalment)

OneStopPhoneShop (part of CPW group)

My last payment was posted to me 4 days after they received my bill and
claim form

Now that was fast

Yup, that is fast! Thanks for that. As you probably gathered by my
(laboured) point, Im less than impressed with the 3 months wait from
Buymobilephones. It basically means the first cashback isnt for 7
months. 4 Months is bad enough!

I'll have a look through their offerings.

Cheers
