Ah that is interesting tell me though why on earth would that effect the
screen for the record seems to be more of an issue since i installed Tom Tom

The screen is controlled by software. If the software gets corrupted in
whatever way, the screen may well go screwy. Not very likely, but still
possible.

No more details. But try a hard reset and don't install anything for a
few days, see how you go.
