Hi
I apologise if this has been asked before, I did a Google but the many many
answers just confused me more. I am hoping that some knowledgable person in
here will be able to give me the definitive answer.

I have the aforementioned phone and thought it would be good to manage the
phonebook etc from my laptop. The laptop runs XP Home and is a fairly new
Toshiba Satellite supplied by the nice people where I work.

I duly downloaded EasyGSM and Softmobile II from the Samsung website and
tried to install same. Softmobile seems to think that I only have com3 and
com4 available to search for the phone on when in reality there is only com1
on this laptop...ergo the search doesn't find the phone. EasyGSM runs but as
no phone has been detected it can't do anything useful really.

Has anyone on the planet actually got this software to work and if so can
they give me a run through of what to do or point me at a site with some
instructions or pointers as to where I am going wrong?

If it doesn't work at all is there any other piece of s/w that will do the
same job?

I would really like to get this working, I swapped all my numbers from my
Sony Ericson T300 into the sim and then into the Samsung T100 and now I have
many duplicate entries and it all needs sorting out. I would just like an
easier way than using the teeny phone interface to do it.

Thanks

Is it enabled in your BIOS? Does it show up in device manager? Is some
other software running which might be grabbing the port?

Works with IR lovely, if you have a laptop why not use IR instead?

Yep enabled, shows up as com1 in the device manger and I can find nothing
else running that wants to use the com port.

Hmmm IR? Got IR on the Sony Ericson which I no longer use, I can't find IR
on the Samsung T100. Nothing in the manual and no menus to enable it.

Has the SGH-T100 got IR?  ....if it has how do I make it work?

Oh crapola, sorry. I thought we were discussing the A300 for some reason. I
apologise, the T100 does not have IR.
