Hmmmmmm........looks like the cooling off period relates to distance
selling only. Should have bought over the web. Damn!

The ESave deal is clearance stock. It's all becoming clearer.

Although I must say I took out a deal with OSPS (also part of CPW group)
for a clearance K800i and it looked brand new - I think most of their
clearance stock is in pretty good nick but it's always a risk you take
with it I guess.

Theres no harm in popping back to Carphone warehouse and asking
though, is there ?
The worst that'll happen is they'll say no, afterall.

Does it? Have things changed? I know you used to have 14 days to take
a phone back and cancel a contract if you changed your mind. (ie the
reception is bad in your area/house)
If this isnt the case, I need to check it out. I am on O2, which is
fine, but want data and T-Mobile offer the best deals. I know in the
past 1-2-1 were poor inside my house. If I signed up for an 18 month
£37.50 a month deal, I would want to be 100% I could use the thing!

There is with T-Mobile also, if the sales bot I spoke to in my local
branch was being truthful. It would IMHO be unreasonable to expect
someone to take a new operator without that reasurance. I should have
asked how long the grace period was! All he said was there was no
charge apart from any usage you made (which as its a T-Moble Walk and
talk, would be at least a £1 per day + voice call charges.)
