SE K750i Repair by Vodafone

Hello all,

My phone (see subject) has been having problems with the joystick not
working properly (getting worse too), it's also got a problem where opening
the lens cover fails to activate the camera mode properly most of the time
(I've read up on this, I believe it's due to a bad connection inside the
phone).

I've contacted Vodafone online and they say either call 121 (I think it was)
or take it to a Vodafone shop where they will be happy to take a look at it.
It's within warranty etc and I'm on contract.  The phone was originally
bought online from Vodafone on one of their Anytime contracts.

If I take it to the shop, what action can I expect them to take?  Will they
try to fob me off with excuses?  Will they fix it quickly?  Will they give
me a replacement?  Or will they send it off for repair?  And if the latter,
how long will I be without my phone for?

Cheers,
R.

Hi

I work for Vodafone and can help.

As long as the phone was bought from Vodafone and is in warranty, any
Vodafone store can send it away to be repaired.

The timescale can vary although it's 7 days on average, and you can
track the status of your repair online. Wherever possible, the store
will give you a loan phone during this time.

If possible you should also back up your contacts and anything you
don't want to lose and remember to take out your memory card before
you send it away.

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for the info, all sounds good.  I will ensure I backup as
you say and remove the memorystick.
7 days sounds ok by me!

Cheers,
R.
