finally @ 17.40 I can access orange webmail(pop3 has been fine all time).

In the spam folder, where a lot of my ebay notes ect have ended up, there is
now at bottom, List as Trusted Email. to create your own whitelist.
If I find anymore info, I will post here, like, can I add manually to my
whitelist without having to rx a mail.

Lucky you..!

Unfortunately we are currently experiencing a technical problem.
Orange are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it.
     Please try again later.

Before anyone mentions it, I cut/pasted the last message from the Orange
website, it must have been them that put the gif files in as an
attachment, I don't *think* I've infected the group with a killer virus..!

But not everybody is on broadband, so posting HTML in a newsgroup is
still a bit off.

Even those on broadband may well have a download cap, so wasting it on NG
messages is off also.

o dear, looks like me logging on broke it for the rest of you !!!!

Nope. 6.50pm Wednesday and I still can't log into Orange email.
Good to hear they might have done something with the spam filter. The only
reason I need to log in is to get all the real emails that they hide from me
in the spam folder.

Along with a list of other annoyances including 2 months of mischarging, an
ongoing technical fault that has taken 6 months to not repair and the
frustratingly abysmal customer services I am rather inclined to think their
days with me as a customer are numbered.
