If you take out an 18 Month Contract on Orange, is your phone covered by warranty for that 18 Months or just 12 Months. What phone have you got? Some come with a 2 year warranty. Orange SPV C600 The warrenty does not effect your rights to expext a fair lifetime of any product so if it is looked after then you will be covered for a phone. I asked at Nokia Service Centre and the bloke said 2 years for Nokia. Also found at that some SE phones have 2 years as well e.g. M600i, P990i. In the past they have tried claiming that if the phone is more than 6 months old they have no responsibility and that you have to pursue any warranty claim yourself with the manufacturer. The retailer has obligations for 12 months ( at least) . |
