Ok we have 2 nokia 3330's in our house. Both appear to have this small
problem. When I ring my sons 3330 from my 3330 my name does not appear on
the screen. just my number appears. ok I'm in his phone book so I presume my
name (dad as it is in his phone book) should appear. Everyone else who rings
him(and is in his phonebook) name appears ok.
& it;s the same with mine, i.e. if I ring someone else & they have me in
there phonebook, my name appears ok. & when he rings me, his name appears on
my phone. Am I making sense!
Anyway we are both on o2.
Same kind of thing happens to me with a text from a friend at work i.e.,
They text me & are in my phonebook, but only there number appears.
All others that text me, there name appears every time.
Any ideas?
Cheers, Willi

The usual cause is he has your number in the memory twice.

Is the number sotred twice? IE on the SIM and on the phone? That will casue
the effect you describe.

Is this unique to the 3330..? I don't get that problem with my 6150 or
6310i and I have all my numbers duplicated in both the phone and on the
SIM. I haven't tried it with a 3330.

the 6150 can only use either the phone or the sim but the 3330 can use both
together, so what happens is that deplicates cause the problem of just the
number being displayed.

So can the 6310i, but I must admit I only enable the phone memory as I
don't like scrolling through the numbers twice..! I only duplicate them
for safety in case I erase anything by mistake..!

I assume then if I enable both memories on the 6310i I will get the above
problem..?
