Hi

I am on a 3 monthly contract, the person I want to call is also on a 3
monthly contract. Does anyone know if I can use my free inclusive call
minutes and txts to call someone in Gran Canaria or will I be charged extra?

The table in the link below lists the costs for people in Spain making calls
to the UK but it doesn't make any comment about call costs for people in the
UK calling abroad.

Surely you are just charged as if that person were in the UK?  The
person abroad picks up the extra roaming charge.

Thats what it looks like, I  was hoping someone could confirm this.

If my friend calls me from Gran Caneria it will cost her 80p a  min.

I was thinking I could get her to txt me when she wants to speak to me and I
can call her back; that way it wouldn't cost me anything as the minutes
would come from my monthly allowance and my friend would only be charged 30p
a minute to accept an incoming call - does that make sense? Can anyone
confirm that this will work?

Thanks

Pete

If you both on the UK 3 network then you pay same rate as if he was in the
UK. There is no charge for incoming texts while abroad. Calls would be
charge as if he was in the UK as well but there is a charge for incoming
calls while abroad.
