Hi

I've just received an upgrade Nokia N80 from O2.

It came with a 3G simm however, I'm using the sim from my company O2 phone
in it.

Not being up on 3G I'm assuming I will have to get a 3G enabled sim for the
company account to access 3G in this phone?

Apart from conversations my main use for the phone is web access and whilst
happy with GPRS it would be nice to have access via 3G.

Also do I have to make any different configuration to the dial up on the
laptop to access 3G from the GPRS settings or does the technology access the
fastest available?

Thanks in anticipation

You assume correctly.

Fastest available. 3G phones still use GPRS, it's just a bit quicker

is there something about the N80s that I should beware of? I was
considering upgrading to one.

Yup. The N80 is as seriously sh.t phone - it has a lot of features, but does
them all badly. It's software is more buggy than a £5 whore. It's battery
life is pathetic.
And it wont survive being tossed off a 30 foot building onto concrete ...
well mine didnt anyway     ;o)

I have had one for 6 months with no issues, very very occasionally
freezes up. I have used nearly all the features. Could be because it is
on O2 who don't customise it.
