ffs!
Orange.net or orange.co.uk useless bloody email is not working yet again.

Sorry...
Could not connect to the messaging server. The service may be down or
un-reachable.
Please try again. If the problem persists, do not hesitate to contact the
support team at customer.services@orange.co.uk.

How? Your email service isn't working, therefore I can't use my email.
Yesterday I couldn't send email for most of the day, today I can't get in to
see how many messages you have mistakenly marked as spam.

Why? I could use another email account to contact
customer.services@orange.co.uk but
what's the point? You never really answer the question you have been asked.
If you even bother to reply it takes you at least 2 days.

aargh!!!!

the web interface.

Forced to use the infernal web interface to retrieve the several messages a
day that they mistakenly label as spam.

Peter
PS Jon, have you received any messages on the orange mailing list in the
last week? I haven't.

If it helps, you can now whitelist messages. I've found that after a few
days of checking the web interface for false spam positives, it actually
seems pretty good at getting it right now. Famous last words of course :-)

Cheers

Jon.

Why do you still trust them to handle your email?

Both u.t.m and the Orange list are always full of reports about folk
having problems.. They get by far and away the most complaints in this
group yet people still use it? The mind boggles! :-D

It's always been to unreliable for a general email service, but it is
a very useful way of being able to have an emergency email
notification sent to your mobile. You can also send the occasional
emergency email from your mobile. Usually :-(

It's really quite amazing for how many years they've been diddling
about with it without being able to stop crashing it every other time
they "improve" it. Whereas man and dog outfits like Locust were able
to set up far more comprehensive easily used and reliable
services. Orange even bought them up to try and learn from them, and
weren't able even to manage that. Institutionalised stupidity.
