One of my two trusty 6310i's has finally given up the ghost after almost 4
years, having been dropped and cracked the casing and screen. It isn't
worth trying to repair it, so I'm bringing my spare into use.
However, I can't find a way to copy *all* the information from the old
phone to the new. Logomanager will copy contacts, logo files etc. but it
doesn't copy ring tones or text messages. I don't want to use PC Suite
(even if it will do this) as I once installed it on a PC and had a devil
of a job removing it.
Is there any other software that will work..? Ideally via bluetooth, as my
laptop has BT built in so I won't need to find a cable.

I have to say Ivor that I've installed and removed PC Suite probably
about a hundred times over the years, and I've never had a job removing
it. As it happens it will do a complete backup/restore (content
copier).

Hmm .... I've removed it from my PC, but it's still there in Windoze
Explorer!

And in the registry. It took me months to find all the bits.

Maybe there are remnants then, but they've never caused me any grief.

Ivor,
I've used Oxygen Phone Manager to keep track of my 6310i over the years,
with PC Suite as a "backup" - never had any problems.
4 years isn't bad!! So between my main 6310i which was a Care replacement a
year or so back, and two spares, that gives me another 10 years by that rule
of thumb. I might even outlast the GSM network at this rate...Nice :-)
Cheers
Jon.
