Annoying "O2-Alert" SMS spam

Hi,
I'm not an O2 customer but I am registered with them to use the free
text messaging service on their website. Every 2 or 3 days I get a
spam SMS message which I assume is from them as it has "O2-Alert" as
the sender. The message centre number is +447802092035.

Is there any way I can stop these? I've logged-on to O2 on the website
and checked that I'm not subscribing to any "alerts" and my "Send me
cool O2 stuff" and "Be the first to hear about O2 partner offers"
options are not selected. I don't want to change my mobile number if I
can help it. Thanks in advance for any help.

1) Register with TPS
2) Call o2 and say 'I would like to formaly request that all communication
from o2, including that from 3rd parties stops and will be considered
unsolicited' (ish) - it *should* work, if they continue then in theory they
are breaking the law but they should, as much as a little box saying stop
marketing can; be able to get rid of this.

As others have said it may be someone using their online sms facility in
which case it may also be an idea to report it as misuse of this system,
getting them to stop all messages though may also solve the problem.
