Hi Guys,

My daughter has an o2 ice and she loves it, however it has developed a
problem.  Basically when she opens the image gallery it just site
there saying "waiting"

I suspect theres a corrupt image there or something, music and videos
opens fine.

I am assuming if I can do a full phone reset then this will likely fix
the problem but the factory reset option just resets the settings menu
and deletes messages and numbers, it leaves the stuff in flash memory
(music, pictures etc) alone so doesnt fix the problem.

Does anybody know how to do a full reset or has anybody else had this
problem?

O2 wont help because we dont have proof of purchase (my mother bought
it a couple of months ago for my daughters birthday and has lost the
receipt, and while the model is less that 12 months old, I have been
told by customer services that they wont touch it without a receipt)

Any help would be appreciated.....

Any other proof of purchase - credit card statement perhaps ?

If its not a PAYG phone I see no reason why they shouldn't help !

You could always play the sympathy card and tell them her mother has
been taken ill, and you'd like a way to retrieve the last pics you had
of her somehow :-}

Nor will a receipt in my experience !

Take it up the food chain - find out the chief execs' home address via
Companies House and send a letter of complaint direct.

A receipt from a mobile phone shop will show the serial number. I've yet
to come across one that doesn't.

Return to the store where it was purchased and ask for a duplicate
receipt? Most electronic till systems can do this.
