Which networks allow retrospective porting?

I do not wish to miss any Xmas deals for a new contract and would like
to know in advance which networks allow porting after the contract is
started and which require the PAC immediately.

Orange and T-Mobile you can port later

Also I think you can with Virgin

O2 you can in ceratin cases, I think it depends who the SP is. Certainly my
current O2 contract allowed it

Vodafone you need th PAC when the contract is taken out

You can indeed, I've just ported a number to Virgin after over 3 years
being with them.
