When I sent my first cashback voucher to mobileshop.com they sent me a message
offering to replace the payment with some sort of electronic item but I
declined.

This morning they phoned to ask me if I would prefer to have the payment
replaced by Argos vouchers which are valued at £110 rather than the £105 which
is what the cashback is for .

I again declined .

Anyone else had this ?

I've just had an email telling me that my 3rd payment is due soon, and
on receipt of the 4th claim, I was invited to visit their web-site,
where there was a choice of "alternatives".  I decided to risk the
Argos vouchers.  It wasn't clear whether the 30-day terms started at
the end of the claim expiry period or from the point I switched, but I
figured it was a good month earlier than I would see the cash either
way round.

If I never see the 4th payment in any form, it will still have been a
very cheap year's contract.  But the very lengthy payback period is
worrying, and I will probably look elsewhere if I opt for another
cashback deal.  Talking of which, I really ought to phone O2 and ask
for my PAC...

I have now received my first cashback direct to my bank account 76 days
after they received my claim. Could be worse I suppose.
