I have connected my handset (SE J230i) with my PC through infra red to
use GPRS on my PC for browsing.I have choosen all the settings both on
PC and on handeset that my cellular service povider gave me.
It connected and on taskbar icone it says that connection speed is
152Kbps...but when i open any website it opens very slowly...(seems to
me that I am working on 10Kbps)....What is the matter? Is GPRS really
that slow or some other prob.?
thanx:)

GPRS isn't quick -- the up/down speed varies dependant on the handset
and the number of channels that the network gives your connection but
as a rough figure it is about half the speed of a traditional dial-up
modem.

The 152Kbps figure you see in Windows indicates the speed between your
PC and the phone and not the phone and the network.

Is that end-to-end blatancy or is it a matter of limited bandwidth?
