O2 to exclude video calls from inclusive minutes

Many people may not be aware, but video calls on o2 pay monthly are
inclusive within your free minutes, and charged at standard voice call
rates.

It makes o2 very good value, but "until" 31 December 2006 as they
put it on their web site, I presume they will charge after this date.

Though looking in their consumer 06 xmas guide it states, From 1 April
2007 video calls will be excluded from the monthly allowance, and
charged at 50p/min!

So I'm a little confused about the dates, maybe for existing
customers its 31st Dec, and for new connections it April 07? Also it
may be grounds to cancel, but I'll leave that to the other guys on
here to see what they think.

Be warned, at 50p/min you could end up with a big bill after new years,
for them new year video calls!

Deja vu?

Don't they say this every few months then extend the current term?

Personally I've yet to meet anyone who has used video calling anyways.

Sam.

Perhaps we could video call each other - would that then mean we have
met? ;-)

I made one in 2002............... now work that one out, remembering that

Was that with those ugly looking NEC phones, think it was the 303?

I was walking round 3's offices with 2 of them testing their in-building
solution, making a video call to myself, lol

It's a bit of a solution in search of a problem, isn't it?  I suppose
suspicious partners could check where their partner is. It took me 5
mins to think of that. I can't think of anything else - any takers?
