Cellular Phone Forum / Country Specific / UK Group / December 2006Shimmerbright/Easymobile - missed the cut-off date - what now?
I have been overseas with my Easymobile turned off and returned on the 14th, oblivious to the fact that Easymobile was no more. I don't know why there weren't texts waiting for me, or why I didn't receive the emails they supposedly sent (I have had emails about Easymobile credit card debits no problem). Strangely, my phone carried on working until yesterday, and I only worked out what the problem was tonight! It looks like I missed the deadline for porting my number. Any advice on what to do? Stand By! Today's Daft question: So can I still receive calls and texts until that date then? As I desperately trying to use up over £75 of bonus top ups from that referral promotion. So any competition entry via text, seems the only way to use it... All the correspondance I have from EasyMobile says 13th December. "2) Shimmerbright will withdraw its UK services on 13th December 2006. After this date we will cancel all remaining active accounts, therefore you will no longer be able to make calls or send text messages." |
