it is unresponsive how much roughly wud it cost to fix it???

How old is it ? - it sounds like a possible warranty claim to me

Nothing. Put some blu-tack round the rim of you vacuum cleaner and suck
the dust out, forming a rudimentary seal with the ring of blu tack.

Good idea - I certaninly wouldn't pay anyone to fix an SE design flaw!!

Alternatively, if it is under warranty, then let a service engineer do it
for you. Although I had a lot of dust build-up in my old K750, the joystick
was always fine.
