Sony were a bit stingy on that one. Samsung also do not include memory
cards, their ultra range for example.

My generic one came with a 64Mb card

Well it is a Sony card and came ready installed in the phone. Just dug
the box out and the label on the side (which includes the bar codes for
the IMEI) says "M2 memory stick + adapter included
