i have just taken out an 18m contract on the Orange Dolphin tariff,i get a
couple of months free Orange tv & selected the sky sports package..but it
wont work.
my streaming settings are set correctly & i am in an area of good 3G
coverage.the phone is a Sony Ericsson K 800i,any ideas to make it work ?

i also chose the wireless unlimited broadband package, paying an extra fiver
on top of my extra 35 quid phone tariff, thats not going too well either..i
registered & gave them the migration code from my old provider.the wireless
equipment arrived,on trying to install the livebox software an 'appendix 1'
kept appearing telling me to disable my firewall,i had already done that, the
message kept appearing & wouldnt let me go any further with the
installation.
i then called tech support to be told my account had been de-activated on
the day it should have gone live, after much shuffling between departments it
turned out they had got a letter/number wrong in the migration code,im sure
i read it out correctly!
i then had to re-register after giving them the correct code & will get some
more wireless gear sent despite having the first lot, then i have to send the
first lot back to them
ho hum!

I'm not that up on the TV product, but I do recall that it's only for
SYmbian-based Nokia devices currently.

I can help you with that:

1. Bin the CD, connect your livebox via ethernet cable.
2. Browse to http://192.168.1.1
3. username is admin, password is admin
4. go to the internet connection settings in the livebox and enter the
username and password that was in your welcome letter.
5. COnfigure wireless if needed, if not then turn it off.

Job done.

All the CD does is place a shortcurt to 192.168.1.1 on your desktop.

Try connecting with our current box first.

Wasn't that the original Orange TV service though ?

I found this page on the Orange website, which although not listing
the K800i, does list some non Symbian handsets

You may well be right, and that page certainly seems to support your
conclusion.

Like I say, I'm not up on it. Funnily enough, no-one has ever asked me
about TV services on the mobile.
